Lead Pastor

Ron is originally from Florida but has spent the bulk of his life in the Carolinas. He went to Furman University for his undergrad work and Asbury Theological Seminary for his Masters in Divinity. After serving overseas in the United States Army as a Fire Support Officer, he has served as a children and youth pastor, an associate pastor at a large church, and planted a church as the lead pastor.

He is married to Megan, an art teacher in Forsyth County Schools. They have two daughters, McKenna and Molly. Ron loves reading, hiking, camping, biking, whitewater kayaking, and basically anything having to do with the outdoors. He also loves meeting new people and having deep conversations about God, philosophy, and astrophysics (Most of that is true :).

Ron believes that following Jesus gives shape and meaning to every aspect of life. Because of this, he has committed his life to invite others to join him in this journey.

Abby Hedgecock
Abby Hedgecock

Associate Pastor

Abby has spent the majority of her life in North Carolina. She attended Western Carolina University for undergrad, and Pfeiffer University for her Master's Degree in Christian Education and Wesley Theological Seminary for her seminary work. She is currently enrolled in a Doctoral Program in Adult Education. Ordained a Deacon in the Western North Carolina Conference, Abby has served several of the largest churches in our conference primarily in Children's Ministry. Abby is also a Certified Life Coach and trained consultant.

Abby is married to Jeff, who is an IT Project Manager. They have two very active boys, Cameron and Branson. When Abby is not on a court or field with her boys, she enjoys anything outdoors, as well as her Wake Forest Demon Deacons. You will most likely find their family at the beach in their RV with their dogs.

Darren Hickerson
Darren Hickerson

Assistant Pastor, Pastor of Disk Golf Outreach

Darren is married to Christy Rhyne Hickerson of Morganton, who is a radiation therapist at Novant Health. They have three adult sons, Wesley, Ryan, and Christopher. Darren works full time in medical research with the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine and has been a part time local pastor with the United Methodist Church since 2008, serving as Assistant Pastor or Senior Pastor at three churches in that time.

Darren has master's degrees from Asbury Theological Seminary and East Carolina University. He loves all outdoor sports, and will occasionally consider calling in sick to play disc golf.

Jayne Radionov

Genesis Kardia Pastor

Jayne is originally from WI and is a true “cheesehead!” She moved to NC in 1999 and loves being close to the mountains and the beach, plus this is where she found her soulmate. She attended the University of WI-Milwaukee for her degree in Special Education, is National Board Certified – Early Childhood through Young Adulthood Exceptional Needs Specialist, received her master’s in special education at Appalachian University and her Deacon Studies certificate at Hood Theological Seminary. She is a retired WSFCS special education teacher currently working at Horizons Residential Care Center as a Program Specialist and Worship Director. She also leads Genesis Kardia; a special needs ministry and Genesis Kardia 2nd Friday Fun for a time of fellowship.

She is married to Vladimir, and they are in the process of expanding their family through adoption. They will be adding another son to her two grown daughters, two grown sons and 6 grandchildren. Jayne loves photography, travel, roller skating, volunteering with Special Olympics and spending her time with family.

Jayne desires to come together with others in order to share and grow in the love of God and to live out God’s mission to take His light out into the world.

Tim Bralley

Pastor of Hospitality and Engagement

Tim is a homegrown product spending most of his life in Forsyth County, employed for 20+ years with Kontoor Brands in Mocksville as the DC Manager. He graduated from Western Carolina with a degree in chemistry and has served with Sunrise United Methodist Church as Worship Arts Coordinator and youth leader until his current role as New Day Hospitality Pastor.

Married to Robin for 30+ years who is the publisher of Forsyth Family Magazine. They have two adult daughters; Briana and Morgan.

Tim loves watching movies at the theater, mainly because of the popcorn. He also enjoys walking in Tanglewood Park with his bride. He believes his life is far from perfect, but the good news is it doesn’t have to be in order to be beautiful and great. "Though I have imperfections, I’m still preferred by God, and continue to be taught by the Holy Spirit."
